Gemstone necklaces from Lyppens jewellers

Lyppens jewellers have a vast collection of necklaces that are set with gemstones. All of the necklaces are made from 14 or 18 karat yellow, white or red gold. A necklace with a gemstone can be a great gift to give a loved one, for example using the birthstone to celebrate the birth of a baby or a ruby, emerald or sapphire to commemorate a big event like reaching a milestone age, graduation or promotion. Whatever the occasion is, the experienced sales team is ready to help you find your perfect gemstone necklace.

Ruby

Ruby is one of the richest red variety gemstones in the world. The gemstone has been praised for its deep red colour for millennia and after thousands of years, is still one of the most sought-after gemstones in the world. The collection often has several rare and beautiful antique or vintage necklaces set with ruby. Fortunately, ruby is certainly not limited to antique pieces and there is a large collection of modern pendant necklaces set with ruby often in combination with red or yellow gold and sometimes a fine line of diamonds to bring out the gemstone.

Sapphire

Sapphire is the sister stone of ruby and just like ruby it has been used to decorate necklaces for millennia. Sapphire is commonly blue and the blue variety that is praised the most is the royal blue colour. Aside from blue, sapphire can occur in almost every other colour in the colour spectrum, apart from red, because then it is known as ruby. Lyppens jewellers often have beautiful 19th century, Art nouveau and Art Deco necklaces set with sapphire. These often one-of-a-kind necklaces are very intricately made but at the same time so durable that they have survived for 3 or 4 generations. Besides these antique pieces there is often a good collection of new sapphire necklaces. Many of these sapphire necklaces are made from coloured sapphires such as yellow sapphire, green sapphire and purple and pink sapphire.

Emerald

Emerald is a beautiful and often vivid green gemstone that was traditionally found in South America and more recently Africa. Although the finest Emerald still comes from Columbia, the African emeralds and especially those from Zambia challenge the fine Columbian green emeralds in beauty. The gemstones properties make it a little bit more sensitive to chips or cracks from knocks, which is why a necklace is the perfect place for an emerald. At Lyppens jewellers there is a vast collection of emerald necklaces, from antique and vintage pieces, to modern pieces.

Gemstone rivière necklaces

Lyppens jewellers also have a large collection of rivière necklaces also known as tennis necklaces. Rivière necklaces set with ruby, sapphire, tsavorite, rainbow sapphire, pink sapphires alongside the collection of diamond and coloured diamonds.

Gemstone necklaces with diamonds

A gemstone necklace can be enhanced with diamonds giving an extra dimension to its design. There is a vast collection of necklaces that are set with gemstones and diamonds, think of tanzanite, tourmaline, citrine, amethyst, tsavorite necklaces. All these necklaces are available in 14 or 18 karat gold.
