Rose gold vintage by pass ring with a South Sea pearl and diamonds
Description
18kt rose gold vintage bypass ring with a South Sea pearl. The band of the ring is pavé set with brilliant cut diamonds with a total weight of approx. 0.40ct, colour G and clarity VS.
South Sea pearls are cultivated in the seas south of Japan, particularly around Australia, Indonesia and the Philippines. This golden variety is among the rarest and most valuable South Sea pearls produced. The cultivation process is extremely time-consuming and highly costly. These pearls are formed in the rare gold-lipped oyster, known as the Pinctada maxima, which is recognisable by its distinctive golden edge.
