18kt yellow gold vintage ring in the shape of a shell. The shell is set with a round Tahitian pearl on the inside.

Tahiti pearls form in the lagoons around Tahiti, where the black-lipped oyster creates them. As they grow, the oyster adds layer upon layer of nacre, giving each pearl its lustre. The special blend of minerals of the local waters produces the pearls’ distinctive dark colours. This makes them rare and therefore especially valued. Just like Champagne the Tahiti pearl is a protected locality.
