Yellow gold Cartier vintage 1980s ring with yellow sapphire and silverium

Description

18kt yellow gold vintage Cartier ring from the 1980s. The domed top of the ring is crafted from silverium and is flanked on either side by a tricolour band detail. The ring is centrally set with an oval cut yellow sapphire in a smooth bezel setting. The ring comes with the original Cartier box.

Silverium is an alloy developed by Cartier, for which the brand filed a patent and trademark registration in 1987. The material was used in various vintage Cartier jewellery pieces.
